Amazing Italian food! We ordered the special of the day which was a turkey sandwich for appetizer, Tortellini Pomodoro and Cavatelli With Jamaican Beef Ragu for mains, and the affogato for dessert. The turkey sandwich was incredible. I am usually partial to pasta (my favorite food), but this sandwich was my favorite dish. It was just perfect. The turkey was juicy and tender, the bread was fresh and the sesame added such a nice textural component and flavor complexity. The sauces and onions were garlicky and delicious- not too salty or overpowering. My only complaint is that it was a bit hard to eat, but I suppose most hefty sandwiches are. As for the pastas, they were both good. I preferred the tortellini which had a good filling to pasta ratio. Wasn't blown away though. Definitely good but not spectacular. The cavatelli was tasty as well, definitely not your traditional ragu. It reminded me of curry... it had similar spices. The affogato here is by far the best affogato I have had. You absolutely must order this for dessert. Usually, affogatos are just gelato and espresso. However, this affogato had a layer of vanilla ganache, a layer of icecream, a layer of fudge, and finally a layer of decaf coffee granita. Another perfect dish at Torrisi. Very nice ambiance. A cute spot to go with friends. I like that you can see the chefs prepare your food with the open kitchen layout. Also a very efficient to-go system with cute green bags. The service was excellent- super friendly and very attentive! Overall, I would highly recommend Torrisi! The sandwich and affogato were *chef's kiss* perfect!

Yes, the hype is real. Torrisi is back and dare I say, better than ever. In a city full of over-hyped Italian spots, Torrisi is a breath of fresh air that seems to prove that not every "TikTok spot" isn't worth your time. Went for lunch with a friend and enjoyed everything we both ate and drank. The space is quaint, but that's almost part of the appeal. It's no surprise that Torrisi ranks as one of the best new restaurants in the city!

Arriving for 11:00 dinner reservations can often be tricky. In some cases, you are meant to feel you are imposing on the staff, the only thing holding them from an early return home. That is NOT the case at Torrisi. We were welcomed with a smile and a casual paced service designed to nurture a relaxing evening. Despite our late arrival, there were plenty of tables still occupied. A testament to their goal of customer satisfaction. Now if a relaxed evening was the only plus, it wouldn't rate 5 stars. The food was uniformly excellent. We mixed the Cucumber New Yorkese and the Italian and American Hanna with Zeppole. A perfect combination that balanced the salt with the creamy. We also split the Spaghetti with Lamb and Chicken alla Griglia based on the server's suggestion. A greens side dish served itself well. Both, again wonderful. The Phillo wrapped Baked Chocolate was as delicious as it sounds. Good food, great conversation and a staff that supports your successful evening is exactly what every restaurant should aspire to. Torrisi can deliver a master class on how to do that consistently.

There's not much I can say about Torrisi that hasn't already been said. Hard to get in, but well worth the effort. It's more than a restaurant, it's a dining experience. You already know the food is amazing, but the service & the vibe of this spot is what takes it over the top. Shout out to Marcus & Raquel for bringing the energy & taking such good care of us. Keep those Resy notifications on. Give it a try. I promise you'll be dreaming about that tortellini for months.

It's the vibes for me! Torrisi is a whole experience from the ambience to the food. tbh, the food is just the cherry on top! from the time you walk in, you get a good feeling it's going to be a good night. it's a mix of young and old. the aesthetic is throwback NYC to one of my favorite eras - old timey, old world Italian with staff in coats and bowties. the amber hues and lighting exude welcome and warmth. you just keep falling deeper and deeper in love with the place. and to top it off, Lil Kim is playing overhead along with a massive '90s r&b/hip hop playlist. we were singing along the whole night. the entire mood, chill. now the food. a given it was going to be good. this before I even knew it was Michelin star rated and part of the Major Food Group. when you're in town visiting, you can't fit all your foodie stops in one visit, but you sure as heck pack as much as you can in! this was our second dinner of the evening as we had a first one early in the evening. plus the only opening on Resy this whole week was for 11:30PM on a Monday! we intended on ordering a bunch of things to share and eat "lightly." before we knew it, we had a combo of 7 appetizers and entrees ordered! Lol. but my oh my, every single bite was unforgettable. not one crumb left! we intended on at least three recommended items: * cucumber appetizer * prawn ravioli * frozen affogato we added: * garlic clam boule * ham and zeppole * foie gras and the currants * dover sole every bite of every dishes attacking any and all taste buds. so much savory and sweet, salty and sweet, a little acid balanced with sweet. different textures. definitely one of my top dining experiences in New York. the service was top tier. if not our server, someone was always checking on us, refilling glasses without asking and clearing plates asap. everyone was professional yet personable. the location on Mulberry Street is perfect for this old world throwback. I can't say enough about Torrisi. Michelin star well deserved.

Had the pleasure of dining at Torrisi and it was one of my favorite meals in 2024 so far. Place is located in SoHo, large and has a slight formal/intimate vibe. Service was good but onto the food... You are served fresh complimentary bread with oregano butter and i must say, the bread is delish. You can still feel that it's warm and honestly, if we weren't so full, we'd order more. The Italian and American ham with zeppole are fine. Zeppoles came out warm and soft complemented by a sweet jam. My favorite pasta of the night was the Tortellini Pomodero. It was generously stuffed with cheese and paired with their tomato sauce and fresh basil, while simple, was a delight. The tomato sauce was refreshing and light - would highly recommend getting this. Cavatelli with Jamaican beef was our other pasta dish and my partner's fave. He enjoyed it because it was spicier and saltier so if you lean towards that taste profile, this dish is more for you. I forgot to add, everyone ends their meal with complimentary cookies and mini sorbets. The pineapple sorbet was one of my faves. I already told him I want to come back and try other dishes. Can't wait!

Decor wonderful. Service great. Food delicious. Clam Boule was damn good Ham selection with zeppoli was good but you can pass for another app. Linguine clams were unique but was it spectacular? No. Jamaican ragu was good but I expected a Jamaican beef patty over pasta and didn't get that. Close... The sole Francese was absolutely a delight. Must order. Cheesecake is a must Affogato is a must As hard as it is to get a reservation, I thought it was worth it.

Rez was hard to obtain as many others have mentioned. I ended up getting a lunch spot on a Tuesday. First of all, Torrisi is in the lovely, historic Puck building. They did an amazing job of creating the interior space within the restaurant , I love the interior design choices (even tiny details don't go unnoticed). Probably one of my favorite restaurants I've seen, visually speaking. Service was fabulous, our waitress was attentive as was all the supporting staff. Our water glasses were never empty & we quickly had refills of our iced tea if needed. I would have loved to try even more food items than we did, but will next time. We had the octopus, cavatelli beef ragù, black sea bass & greens. All were delicious and well balanced, while also not being too heavy. They also bring you a few little cookies & tiny Italian ices to finish off your meal. Adorable touch! I just love this place and plan on returning whenever I can snatch a reservation.

Appetizers were phenomenal, pasta was good but not as phenomenal, and dessert was delicious. The interior is lovely with an open kitchen layout, but the service is a bit slow (our reservation was at 12 and we did not leave until 2). There was a hugee gap between the appetizers and the pasta. Drinks - Cafe Espresso (4.5/5): really good! Had a nice slush to it and definitely strong. Loved the little shards of high quality chocolate sprinkled on the top Appetizers - Free bread (4.5/5): so yum! the sesame crusted sourdough was so light and fluffy. I wish it came out a bit warmer, but it was definitely a highlight - Cucumbers New Yorkese (5/5): so light and refreshing, a must order imo. The sauce was citrusy and tangy and such a refreshing palate cleanser, with the fresh taste of dill and herbs - Italian and American hams with Zeppole (4.5/5): the Zeppole was incredible. This dough ball was so light and airy with a nice custard inside that made it so melty, and paired nicely with the proscuitto. I just wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple sauce on the side Pastas - Tortellini Pomodoro (4/5): what Torrisi is known for. It was good. The tomato sauce was super fresh and the inside of the tortellini was filled with such a creamy and smooth cheese. To be honest though, it was not outstanding. To me, it tasted just like a ravioli that was slightly elevated. - Cavatelli with Jamaican Beef Ragu (4/5): Very unique and spicy. The chunks of beef were very tender and the pasta shape was so fun! Tasted like a Japanese curry. -Penne Primavera (3.5/5): This was my least favorite of the 3. I loved the shape of this pasta, but I was hoping they would still have the Penne with mushrooms. This one was a bit too light; the sauce had almost no taste (given it was just butter), so just the taste of the pasta itself was a bit too much Dessert - Affogato (4.5/5): The first few bites were really really phenomenal. I also loved just the ice cream itself. But the stickiness of the chocolate and caramel? was a bit too much towards the end. The ice cream part mixed with the espresso taste was delightful though. - Free italian ice (3.5/5): Preferred the lemon over the pineapple. Nothing too special - Free cookies (4.5/5): these were surprisingly a hit. The cookies were thin and light yet super flavorful and not too sweet. Loved them!

WOW what can I say about Torrisi!! Now I know why it is so popular and super hard to get a reservation! They have 13 tables in their dining room section and some tables in the bar area while also having some bar seating where I was put. For Bar seating it's only for 1 or 2 people that you can make a reservation for. The open concept I thought was really cool. There is the kitchen and then a little bar area with no chairs where people can grab drinks and wait till their table is called or if they just want to come in for drinks they would just be standing around this bar area. Which is next to this open kitchen concept. The Space itself is in the Puck building, which is a famous NYC building. It is an Italian restaurant that is a part of MFG (Major Food Group). The cocktail/wine/ spirit list is wonderful. I opted for their Espresso Martini as I heard great things about it. They top it off not with Espresso Beans but with chocolate. So tasty! My friend had an Old Fashioned and then a glass of wine. Food wise I ended up getting the Tortellini pomodoro and my friend got the Cavatelli with Jamaican beef Ragu. We also got the penne with porcini chanterelles. The bread is a sesame sourdough that comes with herbed butter. Both are delightful. We both enjoyed our meals very much. The Cavatelli is spicy if that is your thing. For dessert we got sorbet samplings of different flavors: Green apple, lemon and two others I do not remember what they were. Our waiter/bartender was wonderful do not remember his name. He took all my food allergies very seriously and recommended items I could have from their menu. I would come back here in a heartbeat even just for the Espresso Martini...YES it is THAT GOOD!!
